Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great day! I totally meant for this to go up on Monday, but things got crazy busy. So I will be uploading Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday this week! I’m so excited for October to come, so I can show you all the Halloween makeups I have been planning!
So today I wanted to share with you all the two sides to every girl. The glam af side and the more “natural” day to day look. The best way to show you the difference between the two was to put them both on my face at the same time. It’s kind of like the power of makeup, in the way that I am showing you the power of two different makeup looks. So without further ado here’s what I think about being “two faced”
I’m going to be uploading the full tutorial for the glam side later this week, so you’ll all have to wait for the details 😉
I wear full glam to the grocery store, or on a bike ride, or on days when I have nothing to do but just wanted to practice. But I also wear the more natural side a lot. I have naturally full brows, and recently I’ve been loving just using a clear brow gel to set them. No product at all. The more glam side I filled them in with some brow powder. I still love to do this when I have a more bold look, but not everyday.
Doing your makeup two different ways on either side of your face really shows you the effect makeup has. The way you can create the illusion of a different eye shape, or how you can have fuller lips or a fuller brow. How suddenly someone with no cheekbones can have a sculpted face. How certain colors can really make your eyes pop and stand out. And of course the effects of wearing lashes. I had tried out new lashes today, they were really heavy. I’ll probably just stick with my Demi wispies lol!
I have been called two faced too many times to count. In high school it was horrible. One day you come in wearing a natural look and the next day you have on full glam. Well RIP to you. Girls are nasty and will find any reason to try and put you down. You wear that full face with pride and don’t let anyone ever tell you how you should wear your makeup.
I decided to become a makeup artist because I love the transformation. I love how if you get someone in your chair and they are so self conscious, and they hate the way the look, and then you do their make and out of nowhere they have this confidence boost. They’re taking like a million selfies and texting their crush. I’ve had this happen just from putting on the slightest amount of makeup. As well as, when I do full glam. I love when I get a MOB or MOG and they haven’t ever gotten their makeup done, and they have all these concerns and don’t think makeup is going to help them. When I’m done and I show them the look, they’re basically shook. They cannot believe that they look so stunning. There is nothing better than to help boost someones confidence and to see them when they can’t stop taking selfies and texting their crush!
I really wanted to share this with you all because I wanted you to know that it’s okay to be two faced when it comes to makeup. And to let you guys into my life a little more. I wanted to share with you all why I love my job so much! And how amazing it truly is. Whichever way you wear your face, just remember that you are beautiful and don’t let anyone else convince you otherwise. Basically just own who you are. Do what you love to do. Wear the kind of makeup you love to wear, and then the next day try something new! Because every girl has these two sides. You’re not the only one who likes to mix it up.
