It’s finally the weekend!! I had originally planned on getting this post up last night, however I ended up closing at work and didn’t get home till after 10pm. What are your weekend plans? I’m planning on just relaxing, cleaning, and getting organized for the upcoming week! I’m also working on a few projects..keep an eye out for them! And maybe I’ll do something fun with some friends. I’ll also be uploading another post this weekend! It’ll most likely go up tomorrow (Sunday). So keep an eye out for that as well!
Today I wanted to share with you all my 2018 New Years Resolutions! In my last post, I shared with you all, 7 lessons I learned in 2017. I thought it’d only be fitting to share my resolutions for the new year! This list has continued to grow over the past few weeks, and it will probably continue to grow over this year. So without further ado here are my New Years Resolutions!
1. Be good at my skincare routine
➝ Just like most people, I’m guilty of falling asleep in my makeup. Hopefully this year I can get better at not doing that anymore, or at least not as much!
2. Meet new people
➝ I got to meet some pretty amazing people in 2017, I can’t wait to see who I’ll meet in 2018.
3. Travel more
➝ I already have a few places I know I’m visiting this year and I cannot wait!!
4. Read more
➝ My goal is to read a book a month. However realistically it will be more like 6 books for the whole year. Who knows maybe I’ll prove myself wrong.
5. Don’t spend too much
➝ I’m an impulse buyer, no doubt. Those minis that they have at Sephora, that you have to walk through to check out, dangerous. Hopefully I can stop buying them, or at least cut back lol!
6. Have a workout routine
➝ I work out from time to time, but I would like to get back into working out everyday. I also really want to have a schedule type thing, so I know what to do on those days.
7. Eat Better
➝ I can’t have dairy anymore, so I’ve been working on finding healthier things to eat. The reason I’ve been struggling more than others would is because, 1. Pizza is the best thing ever and 2. I’m allergic to like every healthy alternative and it’s mother.
8. Try Yoga
➝ I’ve tried yoga before, but not seriously. I’d love to really get into yoga!
9. Actually stick to blogging schedule
➝ And hopefully my upload time too!
10. STOP comparing myself
➝ This is a big one! I really have been working on this one the past few months, and I plan on working on it all this year!
11. Be more patient
➝ I’d like to think I’m a pretty patient person, however not always. I’d really like to work on being more patient when it comes to driving. I’ve noticed I tend to rush a lot (More so when I’m anxious).
12. Be more efficient
➝ I’d love to be more efficient in my jobs. Both my personal freelance job, as well as at the spa I work at!
13. Find 1 new hobby
➝ I have no idea what this hobby will be, but I would like to take something cool up!
14. Wake up earlier
➝ I’ve always been a morning person since I was little. I used to wake up every day at 7am, and then High School hit me. I’d like to get back into the routine of getting up early and working out. Overall, having a productive morning!
15. Go to bed earlier
➝ To help me get up earlier I’d like too start going to bed before midnight every night! Maybe around 9-9:30 and then 10-10:30 on late work nights?
16. Drink more water
➝ It’s so good for your skin! I’m really trying to have good skin this year!
17. Listen to more podcasts
➝ I love listening to them when I’m driving or when I’m cleaning or just hanging out. I’d really like to listen to more this year!
18. Invest in myself
➝ This one just seems silly. But I would really like to take the time this year to invest in myself.
19. Stop giving a fuck
➝ This is my favorite resolution! It kind of goes along with not comparing myself, but also just not caring what others think of me. So far I think I’m doing pretty well.
20. Go to at least 1 concert
➝ I really want to see Sam Smith, I would probably cry of happiness.
21. Spend less time on my phone/Internet
➝ Is this even possible?? Probably not, but I can try right? I’m going to try and be more in the moment.
22. Have a set morning routine
➝ Having a set morning routine is going to really help me be more efficient and productive throughout the day! Hopefully!
23. Have a set night routine
➝ Same as having a good morning routine, however my night routine would help me wind down and have a relaxing night, and a good nights sleep.
