I hope you are all having an amazing Friday! This morning we got up early and went hiking. We went to Pinnacle Peak. We did two miles total, because it was hot AF out and I’m not technically supposed to be hiking with my knee. (The whole hike was about 3-3 1/2 miles) I wanted to do more, but may dad was like “no, you’re going to hurt yourself”. I think he made the right choice. Going back was honestly so hard lol, we had to climb back up all these stairs we just went down. As soon as I’m cleared to do more hiking, I’m going to try and do it more often. Especially when I move to Vancouver.
Anyways, for today’s post I put up a poll on my instagram asking which one you all wanted to see first a travel skincare routine or a travel edition to what’s in my makeup bag. Y’all chose a travel skin care routine so that’s what I’m doing. Now I work at a spa, and we specialize in skincare, so I am on a plan. So all the products that I will be sharing with you all are products that I get from work. These products you can’t get in retail, as far as I know, however I know that you can get them at certain spa’s. The Aveda products I believe you can get at an Aveda store or Spa. Don’t take my word on any of it though haha! Without further ado if you’d like to find out how I take care of my skin on vacay then keep on reading.
*These steps are the same in the morning and in the nighttime*
➝ Mark Lees Daily Purifying Cleanser ⋮ The first step to any skin care routine is to wash your face! This is a new Cleanser for me, as I’ve just ran out of my other one. So far I like it, it’s a gel consistency that lathers up to a foam.
➝ Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme ⋮ I typically always do my eye cream second. It’s just been a habit for me to do it this way for years. This is a great eye cream, very hydrating.
➝ Aveda Botanical Kinetics Intense Hydrating Soft Creme ⋮ Moisturizer! I actually always do this last. I just thought I’d put the two Aveda products together. This is also an amazing product! I really love the hydration I get from it!
➝ PCA Acne Gel ⋮ Next up, is this serum. This is used to help with any and all acne that I have on my face at the moment. I’ve been on it since about December maybe (??) and I like it, it just seems to dry my face out.
➝ Mask ⋮ I typically always bring a mask with me, weather that be a sheet mask, a peel off mask, or a wash off mask. This time I brought Fresh Rose Face Mask. I had tried this before and I liked it (or at least from what I remember lol) and I also had a travel size of it. (I totally forgot to get a pic of this, sorry!)
That’s it! Just these simple four steps + the face mask! You don’t need to bring everything with on a trip. And don’t forget if you’re changing climates you don’t need everything you would use in your normal climate.
